Kids and adults alike are all about Disney’s Frozen. Your child probably asked for a Frozen-themed birthday, so why not extend the craze and make a Frozen Christmas tree theme this year?

Frozen Christmas tree theme is actually a very common one given that it has been used for dozens of years. Basically, all you need would be a lot of frosted trims and clear glasses to get the ice look. But since Disney made it all famous once again, we suggest upgrading your usual frosted decors with some touch of blue color and then may be borrow some of your kid’s Frozen toys for accentuation.

Bling Christmas Theme

Bling and all that shines will always be a Christmas décor staple. However, you can take it to a higher level with some rhinestones or even those cheap shirt studs you can buy at the local craft store. Put them anywhere you like for a whole load of bling and you might be amazed of how fabulous your old Christmas decors now look with lots of bling.

For 2014, you can stick with clear stones, a yellowish tone, or even a hint of blue.

Red, Green, Gold and Silver

Red and green will always be a staple in Christmas tree themes yearly. No other color signifies the Christmas season better than red and green. However, for 2014, you can add a hint of gold and silver to give it a fresher and more updated look.

If you want something different than your plain old floral look, think Kate Spade and add stripes and polka to the decors for that tickle factor.

We saw a lot of chevron last 2013 and stylists say that it remains to be a hot trend for 2014. In that case, go chevron all you want. Best part is that it is not hard to do. In fact, you can make your very own chevron balls or ornaments with only some Styrofoam, glue, glitters, or even colored pens.

Think of earth colors – brown and green and then add some splash of either gold or silver or even both. Paper and wooden materials are so in right now that you would not have a hard time shopping for this new theme plus they come in very cheap.

Do not limit yourself to plain old color motifs during Christmas time. Think outside of the box and let your creativity flow as you keep searching for new Christmas tree themes.
